About Us
At Salvtech Ltd we supply and service industrial pumps, fans and rotating equipment across a wide range of industries including paper manufacturing and energy from waste customers.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help us expand our customer base and support our existing clients throughout the UK.

This role involves travel across the UK for approximately 2–4 days per week, with the remaining time spent planning visits, preparing quotations and supporting customers from our office near Deeside, North Wales.

The Role
You will be responsible for:

  • A £1.75M sales target selling industrial pumps, fans, spare parts and engineering services.
  • Visiting customer sites and recommending technical solutions.
  • Preparing quotations and following opportunities through to order.
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities.
  • Working with the Marketing Manager to keep our customers up to date.
  • Maintaining accurate sales records and managing your pipeline.
  • Working closely with our service and engineering teams to ensure excellent delivery.

What You'll Be Selling:

  • Industrial Centrifugal pumps and pumps spare parts.
  • Industrial Progressive Cavity pumps spare parts.
  • Industrial fan Servicing and fan spare parts.
  • Paper Manufacturing Stock preparation machinery and spare parts.

About You
We're looking for someone with:

  • A mechanical engineering background, ideally in rotating equipment.
  • Experience in maintenance, service engineering or technical sales.
  • The ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • A practical approach to problem solving.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Experience within the paper, power generation, energy-from-waste or general process industries would be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotations to be approved by the Service Manager.
  • Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements for site service work.
  • Take responsibility for paperwork such as lifting plans, permits to work and point of work risk assessments.
  • Represent the Company and communicate effectively with Clients before, during and after the Site Work.
  • Plan and prepare the tools and materials needed to do the job in a timely manner.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the work is performed to a high standard and on time including activities such as Vibration Monitoring, Impeller Balancing, Internal Inspections (Confined Spaces), Crack Detection / Inspection, Laser Alignment, Bearing, Shaft and Impeller Changes, Motor Changes, and Seal Inspections and Changes.
  • Complete and submit site reports using the online reporting system.
  • Complete and submit Time Sheets.
  • Prepare information for invoicing.
  • Workshop refurbishments of fans and pumps (in house).
  • Identification of spare parts from drawings and parts lists.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Engineering qualifications such as a degree or HNC/HND would be preferable, but relevant and demonstrable experience in similar roles is highly advantageous.

  • Fan and Pump Maintenance (or similar rotating machinery).

Further Info
The majority of the work would be servicing and inspecting Heavy Duty Centrifugal Fans in Energy Recovery Facilities. The work involves both a technical element and physical element and is normally in an industrial setting where adherence to safe working practices is paramount. The work can be physically demanding and periodically requires working outdoors and is normally time sensitive. The job requires working away with overnight stays across most of the UK and associated travel hours. This equates to typically up approx 5 to 10 nights a month but can vary.

We offer flexible working hours whilst workshop/office based and pay overtime for additional hours whilst working away. There is also a mileage allowance and subsistence allowance.

Whilst on site, the Engineer would be expected to communicate regularly with both their direct Supervisor and the Client's Representative to update them on the progress of work.

This role requires supervision of third-party contractors on site so good written and verbal communication skills are necessary as well as an ability to operate calmly under pressure.

We are seeking a self-motivated ‘Operations Executive’ to provide back-office support to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive and the Publications Editor in the day-to-day running of the Association.

The ideal candidate will:

• be a Highly Organised, Self Starter with a good Telephone Presence to provide an initial point of contact for the Association, able to work efficiently from a home location
• be Computer literate (competent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with basic secretarial/administrative skills
• have Basic Bookkeeping Skills (experience with Xero an advantage)
• have Basic Database Skills (experience with Contact Management databases an advantage)
• be used to working with minimal direct supervision and dealing with a wide range of demands with varying time scales
• have previous experience working in a busy, multi-discipline support role
