15 Apr. 2026: Runtech Systems has introduced its new RunPro Easy4 Web Stabilizer, representing a further development in dryer section runnability technology for paper machines. The new solution combines effective web stabilization, adjustable vacuum control, and simplified maintenance, enabling improved sheet stability throughout the dryer section. This contributes to higher productivity levels while reducing energy consumption.

The Easy4 design eliminates the need for annual maintenance shutdowns and removes consumable components, delivering long-term cost savings and improved operational reliability.

“RunPro Easy4 is easy to use, maintain, install and trust. RunPro Easy4 also fits into our broader total concept for improving overall runnability. Managing unsupported draws, controlling pocket airflow, and stabilizing sheet transfer all contribute to fewer breaks, smoother tail threading, and higher sustainable machine speeds,” said Teemu Juselius, Product Manager at Runtech Systems.

“The Easy4 Stabilizer made a strong impression from its very first startup. Three more machines equipped with Easy4 Stabilizers will come on stream in 2026, and the outlook looks very positive. Customers have instantly seen the benefits to their mills,” added Jussi Lahtinen, Sales Director at Runtech Systems.

Easy4: next-generation stabilizer technology
RunPro Easy4 represents the latest generation of web stabilizer technology designed for modern high-speed paper machines. It builds on the proven high-vacuum principles of previous solutions while introducing significant enhancements.

The system features a consumable-free design combined with an adjustable vacuum configuration, allowing operators to fine-tune sheet control according to grade, machine speed, and moisture profiles. This flexibility overcomes the limitations of fixed vacuum systems and components subject to wear. An optimized airflow concept ensures effective sheet support with reduced energy input, addressing the increasing importance of energy efficiency in the dryer section, where energy consumption is a critical factor.

Maintenance has also been improved through a slide-out nozzle design, enabling safe and rapid access from outside the dryer pockets. This reduces downtime and supports consistent machine performance over time.
