27 Oct. 2025: The 31st edition of MIAC – the International Exhibition of Paper Industry – successfully concluded after three vibrant days, from 8 to 10 October 2025, at the Lucca Exhibition Centre in Italy. Three days of meetings, business and technical discussions once again confirmed the event’s central role in the international paper, board and tissue converting industry.
250 exhibitors from all over the world showcased cutting-edge machinery, equipment and solutions, while more than 7,000 professional visitors – both Italian and international – crowded the exhibition halls, giving life to a dynamic, practical and highly qualified edition. All within the customary atmosphere of conviviality that has always distinguished MIAC, where business meets hospitality and networking in the heart of Europe’s most important paper district.
Gianmaria Pfeiffer, Director of Edipap Srl and MIAC Manager said: “MIAC 2025 ended in the best possible way. It was an edition of great success and attendance: we recorded over 7,000 visitors from all over the world, a historic record for MIAC. We are very satisfied with the outcome of the exhibition – three intense days full of meetings, appointments and innovations, with the MIAC aisles constantly crowded throughout the event. MIAC continues to be a major international event for the paper industry. In just three days, visitors can meet 250 leading companies presenting machinery, products, equipment and services for paper and board mills as well as for tissue converting companies. It was truly an edition not to be missed, and the results were very rewarding for our exhibitors. The atmosphere was full of enthusiasm and a genuine desire to exchange ideas and information, to meet and network between visitors and exhibitors. We are already working on MIAC 2026, scheduled for 7, 8 and 9 October 2026, naturally in Lucca – MIAC’s home for over thirty years – at the heart of Europe’s only internationally recognized paper district. Lucca is home to numerous paper and board mills and many tissue converting companies, as well as a specialized mechanical industry that supplies equipment and machinery to mills. MIAC looks forward to welcoming you in 2026.”
The recently concluded edition reaffirmed Lucca’s role as both a driver and showcase of innovation, where tradition meets vision, technology meets people. The quality of attendance, the pace of appointments and the depth of technical content confirmed MIAC’s function as the natural meeting point where paper industry professionals discuss today’s key priorities: energy efficiency, process sustainability, plant digitalisation, safety and competitiveness.

From an exhibition perspective, the sold-out floor space once again highlighted the strong demand for visibility among machinery manufacturers, technology providers and supply chain partners. The focus on solutions to reduce specific energy consumption, enhance recycling performance, optimize water-energy cycles and improve mill reliability could be seen across all pavilions, with demonstrations, case studies and technical presentations attracting qualified visitors from the entire paper supply chain.
Alongside its technological core, MIAC reconfirmed the distinctive spirit of friendly networking that makes it unique: an environment where companies naturally meet, share experiences and build lasting relationships. The positive atmosphere throughout the exhibition – with a constant flow of visitors over the three days – encouraged concrete business opportunities and high-level contacts, turning every visit into a valuable investment for producers, converters and service providers alike.
EDIPAP S.r.l. is already working on the future edition: the 32nd MIAC will take place on 7-9 October 2026 at the Lucca Exhibition Centre in Italy, aiming to welcome an even greater number of exhibitors and visitors. The global paper industry will once again gather in Lucca next October, ready to write a new chapter of innovation, sustainability and collaboration.
